How my MBA provoked me to challenge the Missing Men | Anita Jivani | TEDxYale

Women talk about many things that women can do to improve women’s state in the world. But we never talk about the role of men, who constitute the majority of leadership, and can help bring about required change for social issues such as these. What can men do today, at Yale, to create an environment of equality while practicing how to live in a world that is has both male and female leaders?

Anita Jivani, a student at the Yale School of Management, is studying how to use market-based solutions for social good spanning from economic development to women’s empowerment. She has spent over three years working on cross-sector consulting projects with organizations such as Walmart, World Bank, and the US Olympics Committee and has worked across geographies including Mexico, Brazil, Costa Rica, India, and Kenya. Anita was a Fulbright Scholar in Mexico, where she studied the role of business in transforming socio-political relationships.

This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at
